Paschal Memorial Funeral Home of 181 North Church Street, Jeffersonville, GA  announces funeral services for Mr. Willie James Hill, Jr., age 85, of Atlanta, GA, and also a native of Twiggs County, who was called into eternal rest on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 515 Magnolia Street, Jeffersonville, GA at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.

Mr. Willie James Hill, Jr., 85, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. He was born on September 5, 1939, to the parentage of the late Willie James Hill, Sr. and Eva Mae Hill.

A 1957 graduate of Jeffersonville High School, he went on to live a life filled with hard work, dedication, and kindness. He joined the First Baptist Church of Jeffersonville, GA. In the early 1970s, he relocated from Macon, GA to Atlanta, GA. He built a long and distinguished career with Norfolk Southern Railway, working as a switchman for 30 years. He also served as a delivery truck driver for Sears for more than a decade. Known for his sharp sense of style, his love for cars, clothes, and hats, and his ability to befriend anyone he met, he was a man whose warmth left a lasting impression.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scottie Smith, Sr.; grandson, Anthony Hill, II and siblings, Ben Hill, Thelma Lee Burnett, Lois Hill, and Evelyn Virginia Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted companion, Ms. Delphine Chester; his children, Mark Hill (Sandra), Anthony Duane Hill (Rolanda Crooms), Nicholas Hill (Shaheeda), and Kristal Hill; sister, Addie Zellars; uncle, John Height (Betty); grandchildren, Samantha Hill, Christopher Hill (Amanda), Nicholas Hill, Jr., Nia Hill, Morghan Hill, Asia Hill, Julian Hill, and Scottie Smith, Jr.; great grandchildren, Lucas Hill and Elijah Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Willie’s life was a testament to hard work, love for family, and an unwavering friendliness that touched everyone he encountered. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Public viewing will be held Sunday in the A.B. Thorpe Memorial Chapel of Paschal Memorial Funeral Home from 1pm - 6pm.
