Paschal Memorial Funeral Home of 134 Peach St. Cochran, announces funeral services for Deacon James Lee Jenkins Sr., affectionately known as “Plug” age 77 of Cochran, son of Melvin Sr. & Josephine Jenkins, was called into Eternal Rest Sunday December 5, 2021.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 11, 2021 at the Longstreet Baptist Church, 193 Longstreet Church Rd. Cochran Ga. at 1pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Johnny Hughes will Officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann (Baggs) Jenkins of 57 years. They have three sons: James Lee Jenkins, Jr. (April) (Warner Robins, GA), Roger Lamar Jenkins (McDonough, GA)and Travis Deon Jenkins (Fairburn, GA). Seven grandchildren: Latasha Renee Jenkins Hampton, Adrian James Jenkins, Rosalind Atiyia Jenkins, TarlanJaquez Jenkins, Israel Daquan Jenkins, Bly Antonio Jenkins, and Nickolas Bryce Jenkins. Six loving great grandchildren. One sister Justin Allen of New Britain, Connecticut (James; Cochran, GA); Six brothers: Tommy L. Jenkins (Robbie Mae; deceased) of Cochran, GA, JC Jenkins of McDonough, GA; Larry Jenkins (Linda), George S. Jenkins, Robert L. Jenkins of Cochran, GA, and Darien Jenkins of Tucson, AZ.Also, one Aunt Lilly Mae (Pit) Sams of Atlanta, GA.Three brother in laws: Lee James Baggs, Jr. (Jessie Pearl) Charles Baggs (deceased); four sister in laws Bernice Baggs, Annie Brown (Willie “Jack” Brown, deceased), Cleo Baggs, and Joann Baggs. Chairman Deacon Jenkins leave behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and also his best friend Cheeter Wilbur Brown.
Due to COVID 19 Funeral Services will be limited to immediate family only and at the discretion of the family. Masks are required for service and viewing.
Public viewing will be held Friday at Paschal’s from 1pm - 6pm.
The family will be receiving visitors at 647 Longstreet Rd. Cochran Ga.
